About Haifa
About Haifa
Haifa hails from the bustling city of West London, where she was born, educated and grew up. She has travelled extensively and has taught at primary schools in both London and the middle east.
After university, Haifa worked as an architectural technician for three years before discovering her real passion - education!
Haifa brings a wealth of qualifications and experience to support your child's learning journey. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Roehampton University in London where she gained a first in her assignments, an Early Leadership certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, UCL, London and has obtained Qualified Teacher Status.
Haifa has over 15 years of experience as a primary school teacher, two years of which she taught online and became Head of Year and the lead teacher for English at an online school. She has worked with students from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Haifa's expertise lies in the British National Curriculum, ensuring that your child receives targeted instruction aligned with educational standards.
As well as having been Head of English and currently Head of Year at a primary school, she is also a certified phonics tutor. Haifa has undergone rigorous training in delivering effective phonics instruction online.
Having planned all subjects in the primary curriculum, Haifa's passion is by far the subject of English, where she has helped hundreds of children achieve confidence and exam success.
Parents describe Haifa as passionate, highly engaging and a tutor that produces visible results in a short space of time. Haifa never fails to bring out the child’s inner confidence, no matter whether it is in reading fluency or writing creatively. Haifa has worked as a primary class teacher and helped lots of children for over 15 years in both state and private schools. She has worked in West London and at an outstanding British school abroad.
Haifa’s passion in developing her students’ skills has helped children foster a love of reading and writing. Many children, under the guidance of Haifa, have passed their Year 1 phonics screening with flying colours.
She specialises, and thoroughly enjoys, supporting children (and parents) with the Year 1 phonics screening as well as the 4 Plus and 7 Plus common entrance exams. Haifa has taught in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and is currently Head of Year, at a primary school, where 92% of her class gained above grade level in the latest reading assessment which was carried out by an external examining body.
Haifa has provided INSET training and mentorship to other teachers, where her expertise has been highly regarded and valued. Her love of researching best practice and evidence-based teaching, intertwined with her experience will provide your child with the knowledge, confidence and an enjoyment for the subject.
Her P.G.C.E, which was obtained from the University of Roehampton, where she gained a first, and leadership training from the prestigious Institute of Education, UCL, London, where she was furthermore, invited to complete her Masters. Haifa has transitioned to online teaching, where she has excelled and she currently also trains other teachers to implement the interactive aspects of online learning. Being an online tutor, students from all over the globe can have access to Haifa's expertise.
